 Dr. Alison Hayes-Sheen, Dr. Megan Ambeault and Dr. Michael Burns, along with their dedicated staff, strive to provide patients with the highest quality ocular health management and vision services in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding areas of Northern Ontario. We are committed to providing you with current, professional diagnostic services and treatments to meet your needs, including vision counselling, spectacle therapy and contact lenses (including orthokeratology and scleral lenses), as well as low vision examinations, laser treatment co-management and vision training services.

We are TPA-certified. Our doctors of optometry diagnose and treat many conditions of the eye, using the most appropriate and current ocular medications. Some of these conditions include allergic reactions, infections, inflammations, dry eye symptoms, glaucoma and many more. Our goal is to have your eyes return to a healthy state as soon as possible.

  • Heidelberg Retinal Tomography (HRT) machine for diagnosing and treating glaucoma
  • Octopus Visual Field Analyzer (OVFA) offering central and peripheral vision analysis for driving tests, disease detection and management
  • Non-Contact Tonometer (NCT) to measure the pressure inside your eye
  • Sonogram/pachymeter to measure your Central Corneal Thickness (CCT)
  • Retinomax: Handheld autorefractor to give an approximation of your prescription as an adjunct to a standard exam or when standard refractions are not possible 
  • Nikon Digital Fundus Camera to photograph external and internal ocular structures
  • FDT (Frequency Doubling Technology Visual Field Analyzer) screening the central 30 degrees of the visual field
  • Automated Refractor/Keratometer providing independent readings of spectacle prescriptions and measurement of the cornea

Station Tower Optometry offers a full-service dispensary that stocks a huge selection of spectacle frames and fashion sunglasses as well as vision care supplies such as safety glasses, contact lenses and solutions. Other available items include medical supplies such as artificial tears and Eye Doc moist heat compresses, I-lid 'n Lash wipes, ocular vitamins, informative books and more.
